About Deborah
Dear future designers, I’m Deborah Jacobs, a passionate fashion designer, creative thinker, and—above all—an educator who believes in the power of style to tell stories, challenge norms, and create change. Fashion has been my language for as long as I can remember. It’s how I express who I am, how I see the world, and how I connect with others. Over the years, I’ve worked in the industry, collaborated with inspiring artists, and explored everything from classic tailoring to avant-garde design. But what truly excites me now is sharing that knowledge with you. Why do I want to teach fashion design? Because I believe every student has something powerful and personal to say through fashion—and I want to help you say it with confidence, clarity, and creativity. Teaching fashion isn’t just about technique (though yes, we’ll get hands-on with everything from sketching to stitching). It’s about mentoring you to find your own design voice.
