About Thomas
Hi, my name's Tom. I'm 33 and I'm a qualified secondary school teacher in Religious Studies. (I've also regularly taught English and Geography to Year 7 students.)
I have 6 years teaching experience in secondary schools in East London.
I play guitar in a band. We write our own songs and perform them live. We did a European tour in Summer 2017 where we drove from the UK all the way to the East coast of Bulgaria. We stopped off at any major city we happened to be driving through, headed to a cool part of town and unpacked all our gear. A RAPID 20 mins setup time to then deliver some rock music to the locals on the street/town square! Since our return to London, we've been writing new songs: working on a series of EPs and also music videos to accompany them.

Whether you are a beginner or an intermediate guitarist, I offer coaching that will focus on your specific goals and will move at your particular pace. These lessons are for kids or adults, private or in groups.
I focus on all sorts of styles: Rock, punk, indie, pop, blues, etc

A 30 minute session will:
Improve your confidence and skill of playing in general - Boost up your ability to play chords and scales - Help you master a particular song that you'd love to play - Develop your strumming so that it's more in time - Try out duets with me where you can practice your soloing or chord playing - If you'd like to try singing and playing at the same time, then we can also advance in that area.

I have known Tom since we taught together in a secondary school. Tom is patient and knows his stuff. He is an entertaining teacher too.

Thomas has gained solid experience in both contemporary guitar and secondary school teaching. His calm relatable manner I believe will come across well on Superprof.
