About Nick
I am 42, from Wrexham, and a social entrepreneur leading a community wellbeing organisation. I did not follow a traditional academic path. I left school with very little confidence and returned to university at 35 carrying a strong sense of failure. I genuinely believed someone would tap me on the shoulder and say I did not belong. Seven years later, I graduated with a Master’s degree in Public Health, Mental Health and Wellbeing.
That journey shapes how I mentor. I understand self doubt, impostor syndrome and the pressure of higher education because I have lived it. I also completed my studies with dyslexia, dyspraxia and ADHD, so I know how frustrating it can feel when your brain does not fit the system. My success was built on realistic strategies, strong mentoring and learning how to work with my neurodiversity rather than against it.
Alongside my academic background, I run a social enterprise providing non clinical mental wellbeing support to young people. I have supported individuals with a wide range of neurodiversity, learning differences and mental health challenges. This gives me both academic knowledge and practical, real world insight.
Students describe me as relatable, calm and non patronising. I build strong rapport, get to the root of what is actually causing difficulty and help create plans that are practical and sustainable. My focus is always on developing confidence, clarity and independence, not dependency.

My approach is informal but professional, and always person centred. I build rapport quickly, put people at ease and get to the root of what is actually holding them back. There is no point creating strategies that look good on paper but do not work in real life, so everything we develop has to be realistic and tailored to you.
I am degree qualified in Mental Health and Wellbeing with a Master’s in Public Health, Mental Health and Wellbeing. I am also a social entrepreneur and neurodivergent mentor with dyslexia, dyspraxia and ADHD. I understand first hand how overwhelming academia and life can feel, and I have supported many people to better understand their ADHD, work with it rather than against it, and build practical systems that stick.
Sessions are usually 60 minutes and are suitable for foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate students, particularly those who are neurodivergent or feeling stuck, overwhelmed or underconfident.
I am relatable, non patronising, ethically grounded and yes, the occasional terrible pun may appear. I care far more about helping people move forward than simply watching the clock.
