About Ammna
I’m in my first year of university, so I am a fresh high school leaver. I have not tutored before, however I have studied Nat 5 & Higher Mods and Nat 5, Higher and Advanced Higher History. Only offering Nat 5 due to lack of experience.
I have experience in the following topics for both subjects:
National 5 History:
-Civil Rights Movement in America
- Wars of Independence
- The making of modern Britain
National 5 Modern Studies:
- Democracy in Scotland
- Social Inequality
- World Power- The USA
I’ve previously supported junior students within a classroom before and I’m extremely friendly! I’m an ideal tutor for students that prefer having a younger and less intimidating tutor delivering their lessons.

My teaching methodology is shaped around how the student learns best. During introductory lessons, I will ask the student how they feel they learn best and customise them to their needs. I will suggest materials and revision methods that could enhance their learning, as well as go through past papers to distinguish and tackle the different types of questions they might be assessed on. Additionally we can cover specific course content to help build the student’s confidence and knowledge of the subject.
