About Srinesh

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering from The University of Texas at Dallas. I have 1 year of real-world software development experience, where I worked on enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.

I enjoy solving challenging problems and understanding how software works behind the scenes. Through my professional work and personal projects, I've strengthened my problem-solving skills and built a strong foundation in Java, object-oriented programming, and software development.

Through my prior tutoring experience, I understand that everyone learns differently and that mastering programming takes time and practice. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and helping others experience those moments when a difficult concept finally makes sense.

As a tutor, I strive to be patient, approachable, and committed to helping students become more confident and independent programmers.

About the lesson

I have prior tutoring experience and real-world Java development experience. I teach students at all experience levels, whether they're beginners learning Java for the first time, college students strengthening their programming skills, or professionals looking to deepen their knowledge.

I begin by understanding each student's current Java knowledge, identifying their strengths and areas where they need additional support. My goal is to turn those areas of difficulty into areas of confidence, helping students build a strong foundation for more advanced topics.

I break down complex programming concepts like object-oriented programming and data structures using relatable, real-world analogies.

My lessons also include practical coding exercises that encourage students to apply what they've learned. Rather than immediately providing answers, I use the Socratic method—asking guiding questions that help students reason through problems, identify mistakes, and improve their solutions.

Above all, I aim to create a patient, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and progressing at their own pace.
