About Jodie
"Holding a BM Songwriting degree from Victoria University of Wellington really just means I have spent way too much time obsessing over how chords actually work. Honestly, I am a bit of a nerd for music theory, but I keep it hidden behind a lot of jokes so you do not fall asleep.
I have taught 178 students over 13 years, helping them move from basic strums to complex fingerstyle pieces. We will tackle reading tabs, rhythm guitar, barre chords, reading sheet music, and scales and modes. You will be playing songs you actually like within weeks. I know my stuff and I am ready to help you improve."

"Your first lesson starts by figuring out exactly what kind of music makes you want to pick up the instrument. I keep things direct and simple so we do not get bogged down in useless drills. Since I have a BM Songwriting degree, I frame everything through the lens of writing and playing actual music. We follow the NZ NCEA curriculum levels 1 through 3 and University Entrance standards.
I provide a practice module with every lesson to keep momentum going between our catch ups. Feel free to reach out to book a session."
