About Anuj
I’m currently a sophomore studying Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at NYU, with a strong interest in biology and sustainability. I’ve had the opportunity to work in two wet labs focused on cancer research—one at the Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute in India and another at Harvard Medical School—where I explored everything from drug resistance in breast cancer to nanoparticle-based therapies. Beyond the lab, I’m part of NYU’s Concrete Canoe team, where we’re working on carbon-negative concrete by optimizing steel slag formulations to improve both performance and environmental impact. I love combining scientific curiosity with hands-on problem-solving, whether it’s in biomedical research or sustainable materials design.

I believe the best way to understand something is through seeing the applications used in the real world and building a base from there. The two main teaching techniques I rely on are practice problems and visual learning through simulations and graphs.
Typically I would ask the student what content they are struggling on, then start from the basics and build up their knowledge base from there.
Mostly these lessons are for middle schoolers and high schoolers who are in advanced or honors level classes looking to go into stem.
