About James
Hi. As a current Maritime Engineering student at the University of Southampton I prioritise a deep understanding of topics and aim to base lessons on the practical problem-solving required to achieve top grades in exams.
I take pride in teaching students with lessons tailored to their specific needs and providing them with an environment which gives them the structure and support needed to build genuine confidence and academic strength.
My passion for tutoring stems from my own A-Level experience. Working with a tutor helped me catch up on missed work after a setback in my final year of sixth form and allowed me to secure my place at a top university.
Having been through the process myself, I understand the impact good one-to-one tutoring can have and the mindset needed to overcome challenging topics.
