About Phoebe
I earned a PhD in Spanish Language Education and Cultural Studies after years of focused research in communication, language learning, and intercultural education during my academic training. During the past 11 years, I have worked with students from different backgrounds and experience levels, helping them improve their Spanish through supportive instruction and practical communication methods. Teaching Spanish allows me to combine mentorship, creativity, and cultural learning in a deeply meaningful way. I enjoy helping learners express themselves naturally and confidently in another language.
My teaching style focuses on flexibility, patience, and communication-centred learning. Some students improve best through grammar-focused exercises and structured repetition, while others respond more naturally to conversation and interactive speaking activities. I carefully adapt lessons according to each learner’s comfort level, confidence, and communication goals. Along with technical language development, I help students strengthen pronunciation, vocabulary retention, listening ability, and conversational fluency. Building a positive and welcoming learning atmosphere remains one of my highest priorities as an educator.
Outside teaching, I enjoy exploring Spanish literature, international cinema, and cultural traditions that help me bring practical examples and fresh ideas into lessons regularly. These experiences help students connect language learning with real-world communication and cultural understanding. I believe learning a language creates confidence, connection, and opportunities for personal growth. One of the most rewarding parts of teaching is seeing students communicate comfortably in situations that once felt difficult or unfamiliar.

My Spanish lessons are designed to help students communicate naturally while building strong grammar understanding and practical speaking confidence through supportive and engaging learning methods. I teach pronunciation, vocabulary development, sentence building, listening comprehension, verb usage, and conversational fluency using explanations that feel approachable for learners at every stage. Lessons also include roleplays, storytelling activities, speaking drills, listening exercises, and cultural exploration that help students understand how Spanish is used in daily life. I create a comfortable learning environment where students feel relaxed participating openly and improving steadily without fear of mistakes. Every lesson supports communication skills, confidence, and long-term language growth together.
Beginners focus on greetings, pronunciation basics, simple vocabulary, and everyday sentence structures through organised repetition and interactive exercises that build confidence gradually. Intermediate learners strengthen conversational flow, listening accuracy, grammar understanding, and response timing through practical communication activities and guided discussions. Advanced students focus on natural fluency, smoother expression, and stronger communication skills for travel, academic, or professional situations. I carefully adapt lessons according to each learner’s pace, personality, and communication goals so progress remains balanced and motivating throughout the learning process.
Learning Spanish should feel useful, enjoyable, and personally rewarding. I encourage students to practise naturally during lessons instead of relying only on memorisation methods. Many learners become more expressive and confident communicators as their language abilities continue improving naturally over time. My goal is to help students strengthen practical fluency while appreciating the culture and richness connected to the Spanish language.
