About Maria
I’m Maria, a mother, native Spanish speaker from the north of Spain, and experienced Spanish and English teacher. I speak four languages and have lived in the UK for more than 10 years, so I understand the challenges of learning and using another language. I want to help intermediate and advanced learners speak Spanish with confidence through relaxed conversations tailored to their interests. We can focus on everyday life, travel, business or preparing to live in Spain, including practical situations such as registering with a doctor or dealing with local paperwork.

Hello! My name is Maria, and I’m a native Spanish speaker from the north of Spain. I’m an experienced Spanish and English teacher, offering conversational Spanish lessons to help you build confidence and speak more naturally.
My lessons are ideal for intermediate and advanced learners who want to refresh their Spanish and feel more comfortable in everyday conversations. I speak four languages myself, so I understand the challenges of learning a language and putting it into practice.
I have lived in the UK for more than 10 years and travel frequently to Spain. As a business graduate with extensive professional experience, I can also help you prepare for job interviews in Spanish, practise business conversations or plan your next trip.
If you’re planning to relocate, study, work or buy a property in Spain, we can focus on the language and practical knowledge you’ll need. I can help you understand how everyday administration works, including registering with a doctor, making appointments, dealing with local authorities and understanding common paperwork.
I love reading, history, travelling and cooking, so we’ll have plenty to talk about! Lessons are tailored to your interests and goals, with a friendly, relaxed approach.
Feel free to message me. I’d love to help you feel more confident speaking Spanish!
