I am a graduate of Swansea University who has obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish. I am an easy going yet self-motivating and hardworking individual actively looking to work as a Spanish tutor in and around my area. I have worked as a teaching assistant in a primary school in Madrid, Spain and I also did a lot of private tutoring for students in my spare time whilst there. Not only did this job allow me to develop and practice my spoken Spanish on a daily basis but it also gave me valuable teaching experience in the classroom, duties included lesson preparation, teaching classes, individual tuition with the students and also evaluating and testing the students.
Spanish – Bachelor of Arts 4-year degree
The core of my degree has been developing and improving my Spanish Language, for example through speaking, writing, reading and listening classes but various other modules of my degree have included using Spanish in business projects, using Spanish in Translation and also elements of teaching. Furthermore, studying Spanish at university has also provided me with the ability to study modules in Spanish politics, film and history and so this course has not only allowed for an intense progression in developing fluency in Spanish but also an insight into Spanish culture and what the country is like. Furthermore, the third of my 4 years studying Spanish was a 1 year work placement in Madrid in which I worked as a teaching assistant in a primary school teaching English to Spanish students.
