About Caty
I graduated Centre College with a major in Spanish and minor in education. My undergraduate study abroad experiences in Mexico and Costa Rica led to my awe and passion for the Spanish language. I then went on to earn my MAT at the University of Louisville, where I got my P-12 grade Spanish teaching certification. I have experience teaching 8th grade exploratory Spanish, honors and standard HS Spanish 1, and standard HS Spanish 2 at both private and public schools. I also have experience tutoring adults and high school students. After having my first child, I decided to leave the classroom to become a full-time mom, but I will never forget my love for teaching and the wonderful world of language learning!

I am here to help you, whether it’s with your Spanish homework, with studying for your next Spanish exam, APPL, or NSE test, or with learning some basic phrases you can use to communicate with your new Spanish-speaking friends and co-workers. We can conduct our lessons in English so that I can explain in depth the grammar concepts and sentence structures, or we can chat in whatever level of Spanish you feel comfortable so that you can practice speaking and listening. I love working one-on-one with students and hope to make learning Spanish fun and easy for you!
