About Andrei
Languages are much more than just lessons and rules. They unlock new horizons, points of view that change our opinions, senses of humour or work opportunities. I have seen how my work in Spain has helped so many kids develop a passion for a different culture such as the UK or US, including new interests in celebrities or places far away. The best way to learn is when the mind is curious, so for me being able to bring fun conversations, topics and games to the table is the nr.1 must in my classes.

Hola a todo el mundo. I'm Andrei, media graduate with experience studying and working both in the UK and Spain. Having lived in Spain since I was a kid, with part of my family being Spanish, I have a great passion for communication, languages and the bridges they build between communities. At the moment, I am trying to learn the 5th one. I have worked as an English native teacher in Spain, in a government programme to support teachers in schools and make English a more entertaining subject for kids. My mission was creating activities, games and debates for both kids and adults in civic centres. I have also worked as a professional translator and interpreter in the UK. My approach to lessons focuses on the people in front of me, their expectations and ways of learning. With a relaxed and warm general tone, I communicate in a personalised way so students can see learning a language like a real hobby instead of a boring task. Conversation, cultural immersion and understanding the "why" of a foreign language are as important as grammar rules. Lessons are focused mainly on conversation and real life situations, but writing and reading also play a big part (so pen and paper are a must). Also able to support with homework and exam preparation, although main focus is on speaking and conversation on all levels (from absolute beginners to fluent speakers). Can't wait to meet you and share my passion for language learning. Un abrazo.
