About Ariel
I have experience as a Spanish Teacher for small groups and individuals, Beginner and Intermediate Level. I have taught English-speaking people of all ages, from 6 to 60 years old.
Spanish is my primary language. I studied English at a Language School for 8 years. I’ve been using it regularly in the working environment, which allowed me to achieve a higher level in every aspect, including technical and colloquial language. I worked as a freelance translator and Spanish teacher. I have worked and lived with British people, which has allowed me to obtain a much higher level of English than I could have achieved by studying.
I’ve learned Catalan during my stay in Catalonia, using it on a daily basis, spoken and written. I can understand and speak Valencian colloquially.

My teaching method is based on setting specific objectives to be covered and looking for ways to reach them having in mind the student's starting point. The first class works as a first contact and general overview to get an idea of the level of the student or group of students. I keep a detailed record of the progress and needs of each student, trying to progress in a methodical way.
My goal is to make sure the student is aware of the progress made, and to avoid the common mistake of being discouraged when seeing everything that lies ahead. It is important for the student to realize that as they progress in learning, they becomes increasingly aware of what they don't know yet, which can undermine their interest in continuing going forward.
