About Clair
I started learning Spanish on the playground at around the age of seven. As a non-native but functionally bilingual speaker, I know how to learn this language and what difficulties a native English speaker should expect. I have multiple years of teaching/tutoring experience as well as a BA in linguistics and Latin American Studies and formal language education training through TEFL. I also happen to have experience with Maya language and culture for anyone interested in chatting about these topics.

I can give Spanish lessons to beginners and assist intermiate learners but my lessons are ideal for people who want or need real day-to-day Spanish skills, especially in Mexico or the US. I focus on grammar as it is actually used (rather than textbook language), common slang, and cultural topics.
