About Hortense
"Rain streaks against the studio window while I reflect on my 8 years of teaching. My transition into education happened after many nights performing on stage and in the studio.
I guide 56 students through role play and dialogue practice, travel Spanish, and cultural context. We explore Latin American vs Castilian variants and refine your accent and intonation. I also cover writing skills, listening practice, idioms and expressions, and pronunciation. Helping others find their voice in a new language feels rewarding to me."

"Why does speaking a new language feel so intimidating when you start? I fix this by emphasising clear communication over perfect grammar right away. Having earned an MMus from the Royal College of Music, I apply a disciplined yet creative mindset to every session. You receive free access to my vocabulary and grammar notes as part of the course.
