About Leela
Hello! I’m Leela, a BA Spanish graduate and TEFL-certified tutor, passionate about helping students improve their Spanish or English. I spent a year teaching English in Colombia, working mostly with students between the ages of 11-16, which taught me how to make lessons engaging, clear, and tailored to each learner’s needs.
I will be starting my PGCE with QTS in September, so I bring both academic knowledge and professional teaching skills to every lesson. My approach is interactive, practical, and fun, whether you want to improve conversation, grammar, pronunciation, or prepare for exams.
Lessons are fully personalised to your level and goals, and I aim to build confidence and enjoyment in learning languages. All levels are welcome, and I would love to help you achieve your language goals.

I design engaging, interactive sessions that focus on your interests and goals. Having studied French, Spanish, and Portuguese myself, I know first-hand what it’s like to learn a new language and how to make lessons clear, motivating, and enjoyable. Whether you’re preparing for exams, improving grammar and vocabulary, or strengthening your speaking and listening, I’ll create a personalised plan for you. Our first 30-minute session is free and allows me to assess your level, understand your objectives, and craft a lesson plan tailored to you. Each lesson includes activities to reinforce learning and constructive feedback to track your progress. We’ll combine flexibility with structure so you feel supported and confident. My aim is to help you enjoy learning Spanish or English while building real-world skills you can use immediately.
