About Sahar
I am Sahar, an English Language tutor with 6 A*s at GCSE and three years of dedicated teaching experience. I teach analytical reading across fiction and non-fiction texts, source comparison and the full range of writing formats including descriptive, narrative, letters, articles, speeches and reviews. Language and structural techniques are broken down with precision, and technical accuracy in sentence structure, punctuation and paragraphing is worked on directly. Examiner reports, mark schemes and timed practice are used throughout so the standard and pressure of the real exam feels completely familiar.
What we will cover:
Analytical reading across fiction and non-fiction texts, focusing on how to identify language and structural techniques and write about them with precision rather than description.
Source comparison and evaluation, teaching students how to move between two texts fluently and assess how each writer achieves their purpose.
The full range of writing formats including descriptive, narrative, letters, articles, speeches and reviews, with consistent attention to tone, register and vocabulary.
Technical accuracy in sentence structure, punctuation and paragraphing, because these carry a significant proportion of the marks available and improve quickly with focused practice. Examiner reports and mark schemes used regularly so students understand precisely what separates a good answer from an excellent one.
Timed reading and writing practice throughout so the pace and pressure of the real exam feels completely familiar well before the day itself.
