About Yosef
I am a mathematician and theoretical physicist with a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the Weizmann Institute of Science and more than 30 years of experience teaching at university level.
I have taught mathematics and physics to engineering and science students in Israel and internationally, and previously held research and academic positions at the Weizmann Institute, UC Berkeley, the University of Toronto, and the Universidad Simón Bolívar.
My expertise includes differential equations, calculus, electromagnetism, mathematical modeling, and advanced problem solving for engineers and physicists.
I particularly enjoy helping serious students develop deep conceptual understanding and confidence. Many students come to me when they feel lost in a course and need clear, structured explanations that connect theory with problem solving.
I teach online via Zoom and work with students from the United States, Europe, and Latin America.

My lessons are designed for serious university students who want deep understanding and strong problem-solving skills in mathematics and physics.
I teach step by step, focusing on clear concepts and intuition, not only formulas. Students are guided to understand the ideas behind the mathematics and physics so they can solve problems independently and confidently.
Typical topics include:

Lessons are conducted online via Zoom. I usually work with lecture notes, problem sets, and past exams, and I adapt each lesson to the student’s needs and level.
