About Maria
Hi my name is Maria :)
I was born in Montreal, to Greek parents and from young I was fascinated by the greek language and culture. I am passionate about teaching it, and passing it down to the next generation!
I was living in Greece for over a decade and decided to come back to Canada, to be closer to my family. I also graduated from John-Molson School of Business and have a finance degree, with a minor in International Business.
On Saturdays, I work as a Greek School Teacher for the Supplementary Education program offered by the Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal. I have received the Certificate of Attainment in Greek, ( ELLINOMATHEIA, Γ2), from the Centre for Greek Language, Ministry of Education of Greece (Thessaloniki).
My students say that I make lessons enjoyable, and fun because the last thing I want is for my lessons to be boring and repetitive!
I am available in person (Montreal and Laval) but I also do online teaching as well! Do not hesitate to reach out for any information! :)

My goal is to pass along both the beauty and complexity of the Greek language. Depending on the age and the examined level, my lessons consist of a lot of interactive activities as well as practice!! PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE! I understand the difficulty of the language and I will work my hardest to ensure maximum advancement, as long as it is a two way street! The main thing is to have fun and enjoy the process!
Lessons will always depend on what my students' main goal is.
Whether it'd be basic conversation knowledge, beginners lessons to foreigners, or even first lessons to those looking to be spontaneous and try something new, I'll be with you every step of the way :)
