About Gracie
I am a passionate violin tutor with 20 years of teaching experience, having guided around 300 students from beginner to intermediate levels, including high school students, college learners, and adults. My teaching philosophy is based on clarity, patience, and steady progress, as I believe that strong basics are the key to success in music.
I focus on building a solid foundation by teaching correct posture, bow control, finger placement, and sound clarity. I explain every concept in a simple way so that students can easily understand and apply it in their practice. I also include a mix of exercises, scales, and songs to keep lessons interesting and engaging.
One of my key achievements is helping students build confidence and perform in front of others without fear. My goal is to create a learning experience that is both effective and enjoyable for every student.

I follow a student-focused approach in teaching violin, emphasizing communication, adaptability, and meaningful practice. I observe each student’s abilities and preferred learning style to design lessons that are both effective and enjoyable.
I teach core techniques such as posture, bowing, fingering, intonation, tone production, phrasing, and musical expression while nurturing creativity and interpretation. I incorporate real-life examples like performing songs, preparing for recitals, and connecting music to emotions to make lessons practical and relatable.
In addition to violin, I include music theory, rhythm exercises, ear training, sight-reading, and basic keyboard skills to create a comprehensive musical foundation. My goal is to foster confidence, skill, and a lifelong love for music in every student.
