About Avinash
Started doing Taekwondo at the age of 5 and slowly progressed over the years, harnessing new skills and techniques that gave me the edge over competitors in competitions. Since becoming a black belt in the ITF style of Taekwondo in 2011 I have been involved in teaching small groups of children, to running a class of adults in replacement of my original instructor. Since joining the University of Roehampton, I have competed in many competitions, including the nationals and won a silver medal which has qualified me for a new development programme, training with the GB national squad.

My lessons are tailored to my student's ability and ambitions/targets they set for themselves at the start. I aim to provide what was provided for me; the opportunity to learn new skills, learn some useful/practical self-defence; improve fitness and most importantly enjoy tough training that motivates you to carry on. As a student who is only 20, I know how important it is to engage in a healthy lifestyle as well as learn some martial arts, so my lessons will consist of an all body fitness regime to help better my students health.
Each lesson will involve a new element, to keep up the variety and not discourage training by doing the same things all the time. These elements could be Basic self-defence, technical work (punching and kicking), traditional forms (Patterns), semi contact sparring, basic fitness work and many more.
