About Anika
I have trained in Bharatanatyam for over 12 years in Chennai under experienced teachers and completed my Arangetram in 2024. I continue to practice and perform, and I’m passionate about sharing the training and discipline I’ve received with my students.
My classes are structured, patient, and suited to your level, whether you’re a complete beginner or an intermediate dancer. I focus on strong fundamentals, proper technique, and understanding the art beyond just learning the steps.

I keep my classes simple, structured, and personalized to each student.
We usually start with a short warm-up, followed by adavu practice and technique. Depending on your level, we’ll work on Bharatanatyam items, mudras, rhythm, and abhinaya. I break down movements step-by-step and focus on getting the basics right before moving forward.
I’m Chennai-trained with 12+ years of Bharatanatyam experience, and I teach the traditional technique I was taught. My classes are for beginners to intermediate students and are available in English or Tamil.
