About John
With 10+ years of experience as a Trumpet tutor, I have dedicated myself to helping school and college students enjoy learning music while developing strong performance skills. I believe education should inspire confidence, creativity, and lifelong learning.
Students in my classes learn breathing techniques, posture, embouchure, articulation, tone production, rhythm, scales, music reading, ear training, music theory, and concert preparation. I use simple explanations, demonstrations, and regular practice activities to help students improve with confidence.
A memorable milestone in my career has been seeing students achieve excellent results in school performances and music examinations. Their progress reminds me that patience, consistency, and encouragement make a real difference.
I encourage students to ask questions, enjoy challenges, and believe in their abilities. Every lesson is designed to help students become more confident while making learning enjoyable and rewarding.
My goal is to help every learner become a skilled trumpet player while developing valuable qualities such as discipline, perseverance, creativity, and self-confidence.

My teaching approach is designed to help students enjoy the journey of learning trumpet while developing strong technical and musical skills. I create personalised lessons that match each student's ability, learning pace, and personal goals. My classes focus on confidence building and continuous improvement.
Motivation helps students remain focused and excited about learning. I encourage students to set achievable goals, practise consistently, and celebrate every achievement.
Communication is a key part of my lessons. I explain every concept in simple English, use clear demonstrations, and make sure students understand each technique properly.
Integrity is reflected in my honest and supportive teaching style. I provide constructive feedback and encourage students to develop discipline, patience, and responsibility.
Creativity helps students discover their own musical expression. I include breathing techniques, rhythm practice, articulation drills, improvisation, listening exercises, and performance activities.
Besides trumpet, I teach music theory, ear training, sight-reading, rhythm development, beginner composition, ensemble performance, and music appreciation. My goal is to help students become confident performers with a strong musical foundation.
