About Elise
Hi! I'm Elise, currently an engineering student who completed all of my schooling in French, from elementary school through CEGEP, and now studies at an English university. Being in both environments has given me a strong understanding of French and English, and I am comfortable teaching in whichever language you prefer.
In primary school, I had a tutor myself, so I know how much of a difference having the right support can make. I also volunteer with GirlSET, where I work with high school girls by teaching engineering concepts, math skills, and different software tools. On top of that, I've spent several years working with children of all ages, which has helped me become patient and adaptable when explaining new concepts.
Whether you need help keeping up in class, preparing for an exam, or simply improving your French, English, math or science skills, I'd be happy to help!

I know that everyone learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to fit each student's needs and pace. My goal is to create a comfortable environment where students feel okay asking questions and making mistakes, because that's how we learn.
A typical lesson starts by reviewing homework or answering any questions before working through new material together with examples and practice. I attended French school from elementary school through CEGEP and now study at an English university, so I'm comfortable helping students in both languages. I offer French tutoring for students from elementary school to CEGEP, whether they need help with grammar, writing, reading comprehension, homework, or exam preparation.
I also volunteer with GirlSET, where I mentor high school girls interested in engineering. Through workshops and activities, I help teach engineering concepts, math skills, and different software tools while encouraging students to explore STEM in a supportive environment. This experience has strengthened my communication skills and taught me how to explain complex ideas in a simple, approachable way.
