I'm a BA English student who is passionate about English and I understand how difficult it gets to connect the ideas in the text to your personal knowledge and create a mental construct. I'm here to help, I do not have any "experience" in teaching but I can assure you that I can make you connect with the text you want to understand. My teaching methods will depend on how responsive the child is, for instance I'll make sure I'm not going too fast or slow, depending upon the student's pace. Writing comprehension is all about concentrating on the text and trying to de-code the words, for this vocabulary plays an important role and I'll make sure my students will have a better vocabulary than they had before meeting me. Understanding what is written rather than "thinking" what is written is two different things and I'll make sure you will "understand" every part.
