I am just a student wanting to help younger students than myself to get through any maths qualification up to A level. I am very relaxed and patient with my students, yet still ensure respect for the studies that we go through together. First 5 minutes will consist of quick fire questions on the topic I intend to teach, but the level of the questions would be one level below the topic about to be taught. 10-20 minutes teaching then the rest of the hour would be spent practicing.
Last year I tutored three students in year 11 and two in year 12. These students got three hours with me over a weekly period between January and May. The year 11 students all achieved at least an A and the Year 12 students achieved a B and an A. Two year 11 students were placed in set 3 for their maths lessons so it was a big achievement to help them go so far.
First lesson would be free as I would need to asses the current level of the student and therefore wouldn't actually teach for the first hour.
