About James
I am a student who has lived and worked in France before, having studied Italian (to A level), Spanish (to GCSE) alongside my French and my Russian at degree level; I have taught in my previous school giving tutoring there for languages but also English Literature and am equally happy to teach literature for French. I try to get my students to fall in love with the subjects, get them to want to know more: that, for me, is how we get really good at something!

As a student who has just finished state education and passed on to university, I know well the traumas of hoop jumping and box ticking that education involves. My approach adapts to students but I aim for a bit of both worlds: holistic teaching and more exam-focused. I work from the base upwards, always, and will repeatedly ask students to feedback personally to me, on how they feel they are understanding what I am teaching.
