About Anthony
Hola! My name is Anthony, and I am a current Ph.D. student in Hispanic Literature and Spanish Language Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Furthermore, I completed my Master's degree in Hispanic Literature at the University of Wisconsin- Madison and my Bachelor's degree in Spanish Teacher Education at Western Illinois University. At WIU, I also completed a state-accredited teacher licensure program in the Spring of 2024. With a strong foundation in both Spanish language and pedagogy, I bring academic expertise and practical teaching experience to every session. Whether you are looking for help with vocabulary, grammar, conversational skills, or cultural topics, I tailor each lesson to your needs and goals. My teaching is based on a communicative approach where I have students use the language in a way that is personal and meaningful for each of my students. Instead of having my students learn about language based on memorizing grammar and vocabulary, I provide them practice using real-life scenarios where they practice the vocabulary and structures in context. Some activities may include role-play scenarios (i.e. a job interview or ordering at a restaurant), opinion sharing, storytelling, etc.

Perfect! Anthony does a great job teaching the material step by step. His explanations are clear, structured, and easy to follow, which makes learning Spanish feel approachable and less overwhelming. I especially appreciate how he builds concepts gradually and checks for understanding along the way.
