About Panagiota
I am a master's student in Cognitive Sciences. I have a degree from the University of Lyon in social sciences and anthropology as well as a certificate in pre-medical sciences from the University of California at Los Angeles. Over the past few years, I have worked a lot on bilingualism and the brain. Previously, I gave Greek lessons to the children of the Greek school in Lyon for a year. I grew up in Cyprus, where I am now. At this time, I will not be teaching in person. I will start giving classes in person at my home or at the student's home from mid-September.

First, the lessons are structured according to the abilities, needs and time of the student. Having had difficulty speaking in foreign languages myself in the past, I pay a lot of attention to speaking in order to develop not only the knowledge but above all the confidence of the student. Regarding the listening part, I try to expose my students to a wide variety of accents and not just the formal American or English accent. I don't teach accents and I won't try to reduce my students' accent (because I find it really unique and beautiful). But, of course, I correct my students' accent and speech if that doesn't make sense.
