About Urvashi Singh
I am a student of design who has appeared for both NID and NIFT entrances and passed both of them. I have fairly good knowledge of what people need or look for in a budding artist or what you would generally want to know if you are just looking to better your skill.

When you’re beginning to learn to draw, picking up a pencil is generally the first thing you do. But, that’s where many of us stop; we learn how to doodle, but don’t go beyond the basics. If you’re unfamiliar, with drawing with a pencil—beyond stick figures or scribbles—there are sketch techniques that you need to know.
First, you need to know your pencil. Then your paper. Then your colours. Then familiarity with shapes, angles, and then build onto better skills.
Of course, the speed at which we develop this will largely depend on the interest and grasping power of the student.
