My teaching method is interactive, using an online chess analysis board e.g. from chess.com. In the first lesson I will teach the basics of piece value, importance of taking the centre, simple openings and of course how to make a check mate and check the king. From the first lesson it will depend entirely on the progress of my student, I am able to slow or increase my pace of tutoring.
I am an 18 year old finishing college, planning to go to University in September. Learnt to play chess when I was 6 and have been recently immersed in the online chess boom. I have volunteering experience with young people, helping at youth clubs and even doing surf therapy sessions.
Perfect! Daniel is a good teacher, and a nice guy, and my chess is definitely benefiting from lessons with him. Recommended
Step by step Daniel will happily take you through the basics of castling early game to the sicilian defence to more expert level manoeuvres, his extensive research throughout many years makes Daniel perfect to teach, as he has had experience in competing in tournaments and is determined to help you out in a multitude of ways and areas. I majorly improved from my limited experience of chess and can confidently go into more games knowing what to do because of Daniels help.
Dan gave me a few lessons and it was very useful. He started at the very beginning as I was a beginner it was very helpful to get a head-start against my competition, As with anything new it started slow but I would certainly recommend Dan for any current or aspiring chess players.
