About Dharamsoth
Hello everyone,
My name is [INDU], and I am very happy to be your English teacher. I would like to tell you a little about myself and why I chose to teach English.
I have always enjoyed learning languages because they help us connect with people from different cultures and backgrounds. English, especially, is a global language that opens many doors for education, careers, and communication around the world.
I decided to become an English teacher because I believe language is power. When you can express your ideas clearly, you become more confident and independent. I want to help you improve your speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills so you can achieve your goals.
In my classroom, I hope we will learn together in a respectful and supportive environment. I encourage you to ask questions, share your opinions, and not be afraid of making mistakes—because mistakes are part of learning.
I am looking forward to getting to know each of you and helping you grow in your English journey.

I am teaching an English lesson, I start by setting a clear objective so students understand what they are going to learn. For example, if the lesson is about analysing a poem, I first introduce the topic and give some background information about the poet and context.
Next, I engage the students with a starter activity, such as a short discussion question or a quick vocabulary task related to the text. Then I read the text with the class—sometimes I read aloud to model pronunciation and expression, and sometimes students take turns reading.
After reading, I guide students to analyse the text by asking open-ended questions about themes, characters, language techniques, and writer’s purpose. I encourage participation and discussion to develop their speaking and critical thinking skills.
Following this, students complete a task such as writing a paragraph, answering comprehension questions, or doing a creative activity. I provide support where needed and check understanding throughout the lesson.
At the end of the lesson, I summarise the key points and assess learning through a short plenary activity, such as asking students to share what they learned or complete a quick written reflection.
My aim is to make lessons interactive, student-centred, and focused on developing reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
