About Nina
I found crocheting during Covid-19, when everything was in lockdown and we had to put life on pause. I call this a blessing in disguise. Crocheting has been such an escape for me that has allowed me to discover a new creative side of me I never even knew. I see my peers around me light up when I make them something, and that is a joy I want to share with as many people as I can! Life can be stressful, and not everyone knows how to deal with it. My goal is to help you find something you truly love to do, and something that makes YOU feel good about yourself. As I say, "Life is too short to not do what you love."

About the lesson

I start with the absolute basics, explaining why certain stitches or patterns require certain stitches. I then build up the difficulty level once I, and the student, feel they are ready to move on. We start with basic patterns, but will also experiment with granny squares, pixel grids, amigurumi, etc., to find something that the student really enjoys. I focus on gaining confidence and assurance in the student first, letting them dictate what they think they can do. I guide and assist in whatever they need, but I try to set the student up with the tools, so that they can feel good doing whatever they choose to do in the future. Learning something new can be hard, so I try to focus on the little achievements as you go, allowing crocheting to hopefully grow to be a fun outlet for people to turn to when they are feeling a little creative and fun!
