I'm a student teacher who give lessons to those who wish to learn French or have a good level of understanding of the language.
I always think the best way to learn a new language is to always have the chance to verbally use the language whether it's through conversation or song. I also think having useful cheat sheets for key words in the specific topic can help improve the student's ability to learn. Active participation in learning any language is vital and having the relevant resources available ensures the student is able too understand and be confident in speaking the language.
When teaching I am patient, kind but professional when I know the student has the potential to succeed in what they do. Meaning I push them hard when I can see that the student is willing to learn the language.
I haven been giving lessons for only a couple of years and have taught 4 students. They have been primary students so have not undergone any formal assessments but, did go on to take French when in Secondary school.
