About Shuhan
My name is Shuhan and I’m a student teacher from Dublin, Ireland. I have studied music for 17 years and have always had a love for it, and would like my students to have the same interest and enjoyment in learning music as I always have. I play piano to a very high standard. I also play flute to grade 5, guitar casually, and two traditional instruments, as well as being capable at recorder and Irish tin whistle.

I believe the most affective way of tutoring is making sure a student fully understands anything taught to them, instead of only being told what is correct and what isn’t. This is why it is important for the tutor in question to have knowledge beyond what the syllabus requires so she can also answer the ‘why’s and not just the ‘what’s. With a creative choice subject like music, it is important for the teacher to further support a student’s interest and love for the subject by leaving room for creativity and interactive activities while learning. A student will naturally remember and understand material they genuinely have interest in and enjoy. it is important to sing and clap and melodic or rhythmic exercises as music is about sound and not constantly writing notes on paper.
