About Lucy
Hi, I'm Lucy, a 17 year old from East Ayrshire with a keen interest to help others achieve their goals within English. As someone who refused to speak up in class when struggling with work, I know how beneficial a 1 to 1 can be. It allows you the freedom to ask questions with someone educated in the subject, without the fear of any judgement. Luckily for me, understanding English comes naturally. However, this does not mean I live and breathe the topic. In my spare time, I love going out with my friends/family, watching the football and playing guitar. I really hope we can work together to ensure you meet your goals for English, with your interest to learn, and my enthusiasm to teach!

I find that using interactive discussion works best for learning as it allows the student to be engaged as an active participant rather than a passive listener which often happens in classrooms as we are put off by the idea of getting something wrong in front of our peers. It also allows me as the teacher, to understand where the student is at and how we can progress forward.
I offer 1hr lessons.
I received an A in Higher English and have previously guided younger students through small aspects of their course.
