About Alina

Student focused tutor with previous experience in teaching, translation and also ensuring customer satisfaction and support in other roles. Always keen to further develop myself and am currently furthering my studies at CCCU in LSC - Business Management course after passing GCSE, ESOL Level 2 in London. Able to multi-task and I get inner satisfaction providing a high quality and standard from a job well done and enjoy working around other people. Also multi-lingual and currently looking for an opportunity where I can gain a good work/life balance while also using my skills to meet customer and business demands.

About the lesson

Russian is not an easy language and requires commitment and dedication.
My teaching style is a continuum: from a very formal structural approach (with a focus on grammar) to a very relaxed communicative style. Usually, it's a mixture of styles - I believe there's no single most effective teaching method. As a trained linguist and a lifelong language learner and teacher, I understand the workings of the Russian language from inside out and there is nothing in it I cannot explain and elucidate.

Of course, I always try to tailor all my lessons to the student's needs. One of the most important things for me is thorough organisation of each individual lesson - lesson plans are absolutely essential. It's also important to eliminate any element of boredom, which I achieve through a relatively fast tempo and a constant change of language activities. I'm also very patient and friendly as a tutor.

My preference is for face-to-face teaching which is more effective than online teaching, in my opinion.
I enjoy teaching foreign languages and sharing my knowledge and experience with my students.

A very cool teacher, great progress in learning, even in a short period of time. A lot of practice in the speaking part, which is a big plus for me)
