About Joe

I am a professional DJ with over 10 years of experience performing and running a community radio station. Alongside my industry background, I hold a First-Class Honours degree in Coaching, giving me a solid foundation in effective teaching and student development. I’m passionate about helping learners discover their own sound, develop practical skills, and grow as confident DJs in a professional yet encouraging environment.

About the lesson

My DJ lessons are practical, creative, and tailored to each student’s goals. All ages are welcome, and sessions typically run for 1 or 2 hours, using industry-standard digital DJ equipment to ensure you gain real, transferable skills. Whether you’re a complete beginner learning the essentials of digital mixing, or an improver looking to refine your technique and performance style, lessons are structured to build confidence step by step. Every class is designed to be engaging, supportive, and focused on developing both technical ability and artistic expression. The lesson will take place inside a professional radio studio in Hackney.

Perfect! Had little to no experience before taking a few lessons with Joe and already feel like I've learnt a lot! He is super patient and wants you to have fun while your learning!
