About Alexxa
I have run Songwriting and Singing Workshops for musicians singers and writers in Brighton over the last three years. I was lead singer for the rock/reggae band Dirty Neon Blue and lead actor/writer/producer for Clara's Seduction Show set in 1920s Hollywood featuring a live jazz band. I studied music at ACT, Brighton University and Morley College.

For Songwriting Sessions I introduce a theme, then present a creative challenge or game. This is fun and helps you relax and forms the basis of an idea. From here we work in groups, pairs or individually (with my guidance) to develop a few lyrics or a melodic style. Students are surprised how quickly an idea arises and can go away with a song to develop further. I include music theory and song structure and reference existing songs in my workshops and will tailor the session according to the experience of the participant.
