About Paul
Hi! I'm a friendly and approachable tutor with a Master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Bath. I offer support in GCSE and A-Level Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Maths, and I love helping students feel more confident and capable in subjects that can sometimes feel overwhelming. My aim is to create a relaxed, supportive environment where you can ask questions, make mistakes, and really start to enjoy learning. Whether you’re aiming for top grades or just want things to finally “click,” I’ll work with you at your pace to build strong understanding and exam skills. I’m based in Surrey and also offer online lessons, so we can find a setup that works best for you. You can always expect patience, encouragement, and lessons that are tailored to you.

I take a calm, supportive, and structured approach to tutoring, tailoring each lesson to the student’s needs and learning style. Whether you're preparing for GCSEs, A-Levels, or simply looking to build confidence in science and maths, I’ll help break down complex topics into manageable steps and focus on building strong core understanding - not just memorisation. Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, with a mix of explanation, guided practice, and exam-style questions. I encourage questions and active problem-solving throughout to keep students engaged and growing in confidence. I hold a Master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Bath and teach Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Maths at GCSE and A-Level (as well as for 11+ and 13+ entrance exams). I’ve supported students with a wide range of abilities and goals, including exam preparation, catching up after time away from school, and stretching high achievers. I offer lessons online or in person across Surrey. Whether you're aiming for a grade boost or just want science and maths to feel a bit less stressful - I’m here to help!
