About Ahmad Afif
I am a 2nd Dan Black Belt Taekwondo Coach (WTF) with more than 30 years of experience training martial arts. I started training Taekwondo at the age of 10 and obtained my black belt at the age of 15. Since then I have practised several other martial arts including Kick Boxing, JiuJitsu and boxing. I was British Student (BSTF) lightweight champion in 2003 and enjoy sparring very much. I am very particular on techniques and will be able to formulate a training plan that would be able to meet any individual goals and aspirations. I have previously taught classes for primary school children and am very good with keeping lessons engaging for children. I also enjoy coaching adults whether looking to improve fitness and/or discipline or to prepare for tournaments or competitions.

My lessons always start with a warm-up followed by dynamic and static stretching exercises. The following activities depend on what the aim of the student is. Depending on the objective of the student the next activity would normally be exercises tailored to the student objectives and the session will usually end with a recap of the session with homework or exercises to do at home before the next session. I specialise in sparring and training for sparring including exercises to increase flexibility, dexterity and speed. I can also help those already training Taekwondo improve their basic forms and patterns.
