About Samantha
Hiya, I'm Samantha! I am a Primary Education undergraduate student who wants to help students build confidence and achieve good grades. In 2024, I achieved a grade 7 in Edexcel GCSE French, and I have recently completed my A Level in French!
As I am studying to become a primary school teacher, my university degree focuses on pedagogy, lesson planning, and adapting content to suit different learning styles. I can combine this with an in-depth knowledge of the Edexcel mark scheme in order to ensure the most beneficial lessons for you/your child.

As someone who is studying undergraduate Primary Education, I am able to build confidence, adapt lessons and help students achieve top grades.
Usually our first meeting (30 mins) will be getting to know you/your child’s strengths and weaknesses. We will complete a few short tasks so I can see where students need support and have a short discussion about what they want to cover in lessons too.
In our 1h lessons, we will spend the first 10 minutes going over vocabulary and tricky tenses. The next 40 minutes will be going over a mixture of reading/writing/listening/speaking tasks. The last 10 minutes will be a reflection of the lesson and a short discussion about what went well and what could be improved in both the next lesson and with independent revision. If the student is struggling with what to do in independent revision, I am more than happy to set tasks and mark them before our next lesson!
