About Connie
Being able to understand and interpret music is a fantastic skill, and opens up endless new doors as you discover more in music. I would be thrilled to inspire others in the field by sharing my own knowledge and experience, having had wonderful music teachers myself from the age of 7, and my friendly, laidback but methodical nature is key to making music theory easier and more fun. I love working with all ages as a young person myself, and I am able to tailor my teaching to each individual.

I believe that learning music should be practical in all aspects, despite teaching 'theory'. As someone with perfect pitch I often find better ways of explaining musical concepts that notes from a book, and have helped many students develop their theory skills as an A level student. I teach any kind of theory from reading music to analysing music, and from any starting point. If teaching at your home, a piano, keyboard or guitar would be ideal for my teaching methods however if needed I can bring my own instrument. My lessons last for 30-45 minutes, as any longer can be too much for learning intense or difficult theory. I have never tutored professionally before, however I have worked with the music department at my secondary school teaching younger students in groups with excellent results. My lessons are for all ages and all ability levels, whether you are just starting an instrument, sitting GCSE/A level music or preparing for a theory exam.
