About Jona
I'm Jona, I graduated from METU with a BA in animation and an MA in media design at MOME. I studied in Portugal and China. I currently teach young adults at the SZFI in the film and animation department, before that I had wonderful students in high school, but I also worked with elementary school students :) I'm a fan of pop culture and traditional arts. Experimental music and films, comics, manga, animation, avant-garde, are my main interests. :)

I teach drawing to elementary school students, preparatory classes for high school film and animation, and programming to high school students. I am also happy to help anyone complete a project :) During my classes, I encourage students to have a critical perspective, based on the given topic (e.g. film excerpt analysis), and then we move on to practical implementation. I try to take into account the perspectives of the students according to their individual needs, so that they can develop in the area of the profession that interests them, but I also try to show a perspective on where to develop and search further. For this reason, we delve into everything from popular plays and anime to avant-garde "art films".
