About Rhys
I am a professional in the UK criminal justice system with 25 years of experience. I work within a busy Crown Court in South Wales. I conduct interviews, prepare detailed reports, address the Court as an expert witness. I work collaboratively in a multi-agency environment with Judges, barristers, Police Officers and other professionals from the NHS and voluntary sector. I am responsible for advising the Court about sentencing options and managing an offender’s risks in the community.

I am able to provide students and learners with guidance, advice and support for both their academic studies and their professional development. My career has been about teaching people how to change their lives for the better and I have also taught other professionals and colleagues. I have a very good insight into learning disabilities, and I am responsive to the learning needs of individuals. My teaching methods place an emphasis on the needs of the learner to ensure they understand the subject matter. I encourage students to explore and develop both new knowledge and skills. The length of a lesson with me can be up to two hours. Although I am able to teach both children and adults, my lessons are intended for those in higher education at college or university.
