About Anoop
I am a Tabla teacher from Varanasi, belonging to a rich musical family with deep-rooted traditions in Indian classical music. I have been trained under the esteemed guidance of my Gurus, Pt. Kashi Nath Mishra (son of Pt. Anokhe Lal Mishra) and Pt.Chotelal Mishra.
With over 30 years of experience in teaching and performing, I am dedicated to nurturing students in the art of Tabla. I run my own music institute, where I offer both online and offline classes, including diploma (Prabhakar/Visharad) courses and examinations.
I am also an examiner for Bhatkhande Vidyapeeth, Lucknow.
Alongside teaching, I am an active professional Tabla artist, regularly performing and contributing to the promotion of Indian classical music.

I begin teaching from the fundamentals, as strong basic fingering is essential for every beginner. Once students develop a solid foundation.
I am the Principal of Jagat Tarani Sangeet Mandir in Varanasi. In addition to Tabla, I also teach harmonium, Dholak and Keyboard, offering a well-rounded training in Indian classical music.
