My teaching methodology varies dependant on the individual needs of the student; in some occasions I am practical and educate through kinaesthetic tasks but other occasions require me to be structural and approach with step-by-step ideas. The beginnings of my lessons will always begin with a debate, and will almost certainly end on this same debate topic dependant of the content of the lesson to see how our minds change throughout a further understanding of the topic.
I am easy to talk to, admired for my ability to build good relationships and will do my utmost to inspire my students to become the best versions of themselves and fulfil their full potential.
I am a successful teacher of Citizenship, PSHE and study skills and have been teaching for six years in pre-16 education; some of this has been within a mainstream system whilst some in alternative provision. I have worked with students of all needs and abilities which has benefited my ability to differentiate and inspired inclusivity in my work. I have mentored university students throughout, supporting with grammatical and structural elements of essays as well as university applications.

Maddie has helped all of my children with their CVs and done so to an exceptional standard. She has also helped when the children need extra help with various subjects such as RS/ Citizenship/ Politics. Could not recommend enough!
Super strong subject knowledge and very patient! Definitely recommend!
Maddie was my daughters’ teacher at school. My daughter wanted to expand her CV and make it more employable so Maddie helped her with this. Maddie went the extra mile and helped her with her applications. My daughter now has landed a successful apprenticeship this Summer, and she couldn’t have done it without Maddie
Maddie was recommended by friend. Maddie helped my son in his Citizenship GCSE revision last year. He couldn’t quite grab the concept of some elements, but Maddie’s patience and bespoke teaching methods supported him to achieve incredible results.
