About Claire
I am a qualified English teacher with a PGCE, two Bachelor degrees and credits towards a Masters in Education. In addition, I have tutored and home taught students from the ages of 10 to 14 in English and Maths, including at Functional Skills level. Furthermore, I am an AQA examiner in English Literature.
In addition, I can offer tuition in Religious Studies at KS3.

My teaching methods are very much based upon the individual needs of the learner, though when teaching a class of students, I aim to ensure that there is a strong ethos of inclusivity in the learning environment. My aim is to engage students in their learning using a multitude of approaches, such as thought-provoking and discussion-generating starter activities, drama and self-reflecting plenaries.
