I am an enthusiastic teacher/coach who aims to empower students to love sport the same way I do. I will regularly ask questions to check understanding and endeavour to make every session fun and inclusive. I thoroughly enjoy watching the progress each student makes and the way they develop their social skills alongside their sporting ability.
I have been teaching PE for 4 years helping hundreds of students achieve their potential at GCSE and A-Level. I have also coached football and a variety of other sports for 12 years to develop the fundamental skills and advanced techniques of children and adults.
National Professional Qualification for Middle Leaders (NPQ-ML) (Feb 18 – Present. I am currently completing my NPQML where my school improvement plan is to improve behaviour across my Year 10 cohort.

University of Bedfordshire (2008-2011). I Studied a BSc Honours Degree in Sports Science and Coaching where I achieved a Lower Second Class Honours Degree (2:2). My main level 3 units were Coaching for Performance and my Dissertation which was on Positive Role Models in Sport and P.E – In Terms of Race and Ethnicity.
West Suffolk College (2006-2008). I Studied a BTEC National Diploma in Sports and Exercise Science where I achieve Merit Merit Pass (MMP).
Rosemary Musker High School (2001-2006). I achieved 4 GCSE’s in Mathematics (C), English (C), Physical Education (B) and Drama (B).
University Technical College Norfolk – September 2015 – Present
I am currently a PE teacher and Head of Year at UTCN. I am responsible for the delivery of the PE curriculum for core and GCSE PE. I also oversee a small team as part of my pastoral role and ensure the students in my year group are safe, well behaved and engaged with their learning. I liaise with all stakeholders of the school to ensure students are happy and making progress across their subjects.
Thetford Community Association – July 2012 – December 2015
I worked for a local charity where I coached football and basketball in the evenings to young children and adults to reduce anti-social behaviour and promote anti-bullying. I also led the horticulture club and would co-ordinate the activities and sessions. I would plan sessions for the other coaches and leaders to deliver and organise the rota of each session.
Mildenhall College Academy – September 2013 – 2014
I worked at Mildenhall College Academy as a Teaching Assistant. I worked within the SEN department where I led interventions and supported other members of staff by teaching components of lessons. Following specific schemes of work, I taught small groups ranging from years 7-13. I also mentored students to help them achieve their full potential and delivered after school academic and sporting clubs.
Premier Sport Ltd – February 2012 – August 2013
I worked as a multi sports coach delivering a variety of sports to primary school children. I coached sports such as football, cricket, dodgeball, athletics and multi skills. I mainly led after school clubs delivering these sessions, however I also covered PPA for P.E lessons teaching children a wide range of sporting skills.

During the summer of 2010 I completed 4 weeks voluntary work, assisting and supporting in the P.E department.
Parkwood Leisure Centre July 2009 – April 2011
I had a part time job at Parkwood leisure centre where I worked Monday to Friday. I coached multi-sports to children aged 5-11 who took part in the Camp Adventure activities scheme.
McDonalds Restaurant February 2008 – September 2008
I worked part time whilst studying at college. My general duties were to cook and prepare food, also interact with the general public.
Snetterton Market June 2006 – February 2008
I had a part time job working on my local market every Sunday from 8am until 5pm. My general duties were:
